1.  Tips for Kingdom Living – Anger

What are the effects of anger?

Anger isolates us from others and produces ungodliness and evil motives in us.  It blinds us to what is really good and right.  Our anger can lead to conflict and argument and in its strongest form can even lead to murder.

When we are angry, what should we avoid?

We should avoid speaking our mind when we are angry because we are bound to say something we will regret.  We should also avoid acting on impulse when we are angry, but demand of ourselves a cooling off time. In addition, we should never discipline children when we are angry.

Since we all get angry at times, what should we do about it?

We should try to get rid of our anger as soon as possible and we should not engage in anything that will feed our anger.  We should not let our anger burn on the inside but should confront those with whom we are angry with the purpose of restoring the relationship.  Love is the mightiest weapon in overcoming anger.

Ps. 103:8 – The Lord is merciful and gracious; He is slow to get angry and full of unfailing love.

2.  Strategic Advice for the Remnant - How To Respond To The End Times

We are to expect the eminent return of Christ, we are told that in the bible; however, prudence is required in how we act on that belief.

Some well-known prophetic scholars who have studied the prophecies of the end times for many years have become quite opinionated in their particular position.

The problem is, there are different positions taken by different scholars, especially with regard to timing and even sequence of events.

Without spending 30 years of intensive study of bible prophecy ourselves, who, and what, are we to believe?

Those of us who do not make prophecy our life study should be careful not to get caught-up in anyone belief or position.  We should not become fixed and opinionated on someone else’s study and interpretations.

For example, some scholars believe that the rapture is eminent and will happen before the start of the tribulation and others believe it will happen at the middle of the tribulation.

Some scholars believe the seven seals start to be broken at the beginning of the tribulation and others believe they started being broken right after the death of Christ on the cross.

For the nonprofessional, the scholars give convincing arguments for their positions.  When the bible does not directly give the answer and the scholars arrive at their positions through interpretation and extrapolation it is hard for us, the nonprofessionals, to know who to believe.

As nonprofessionals, here is how I believe we should respond: We are to BELIEVE the return of Christ and the rapture is eminent.  However, we are to ACT and LIVE as if it is a long way off.

In other words, keep at the work of building God’s kingdom here on earth in our own sphere of influence where God has placed us.

Martin Luther stated it this way when asked what he would do if he thought the Lord would return tomorrow; he said, “I would go out and plant a tree.”

3.  Scripture Guidance

But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.  And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

 Psalm 37:39-40

 The King James Version

A true friend is one who overlooks your failures and tolerates your successes.

LIVING BY FAITH – ASK WITHIN HIS WILL

1 John 5:14-15 NIV

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.  And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him.

When your son asks you if he can have a motorcycle, your instant response might be "No!". Visions of mangled bodies might flash through your head as you re-emphasize your negative response to his pleas.  In this situation, he didn't ask according to your will. And, lacking your greater knowledge of what is really good for him, he doesn't understand your response.

But when he asks if he can mow the lawn (dream on!), you answer with a resounding "Yes!". Because what he asked was within your will. And, since he asked (I want to meet your son!), he also understands why this is in your will.

God responds to us in much the same way. He knows the big picture. He has a plan for each of our lives. His will for us is perfect. We may not understand His perfection, but we can know His will. We can know what He wants for us. We can know that we are precious to Him and that He wants the very best for us, just as we want the best for our own children.

We can understand better what His will is by staying in His Word. The best way to get to know someone is to talk with him and find out what's inside his head. The best way to get to know Jesus is through His Word, so He can talk to us, and by talking to Him through prayer, both of which help us to know, at least in part, what's in His head. Read the Word and pray – a perfect two-way conversation!

When we know Him – really know Him – He begins to change us.  When He changes us, our requests begin to conform to His will.  When that happens, the third part of this thirteenth step of learning to live by faith is fulfilled – we can know that we have the requests that we have asked from Him.

Take this step in learning to live by faith… Learn to determine His will for your life by maintaining an on-going two-way conversation – read your Bible and pray.  When you know His will, you’ll know your requests are within His will, and you’ll also know that you have those things that you ask from Him.

6.  Site Build It (SBI)

This is the 21st century and the day of the internet.  Like it or not it is here to stay.

I needed a web site but had no idea how to build it.

It was all greek, mysterious and intimidating to me.

I paid to have a web site built – cost me a lot of money.  But the good thing (I thought) was I could maintain it and add to it myself through a control panel.

This was supposed to save me money – but guess what – I could never get it to work properly.  Way to difficult and complicated to understand.

Alas, this too was greek!  The site looks good – take a look at it by clicking http://www.MissionMiamiValley.com

The only problem is no traffic comes to it and it is a waste of time and money!

I found the solution!  It is Site Build it.

This is absolutely fantastic and I can not say enough good about it

It does not cost as much as I paid for the other site – that is a very good thing.  The step-by-step teaching and the unique and phenomenal large amount of tools is unsurpassed.

This is a TRULY USER FRIENDLY web site builder.
