1.  Tips for Kingdom Living – How to Discern if you need to be Set Free

Luke 4:18-19 tells us the ministry of Jesus.  He came to preach the gospel to the poor, top heal the broken hearted, to set the captives free, to give sight to the blind, to set free those who were oppressed and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

Consider the following to check if you need to be set free:

1. Do you have any chronic or recurring pain or illness?
2. Do you have any sin or bad habit that re-occurs, or is in control of you?
3. Do you have a constant lack of finances to meet your needs?
4. Do you have any emotional problems (fears, worries, doubts) that keep recurring?
5. Do you have a lack of fruitfulness or gain in your life?
6. Do you have a lack of desire to be committed to God?
7. Do You have a lack of desire to change?
8. Do you have chronic feelings of hopelessness and depression?
9. Do you have a lack of energy to be committed to God, church, spouse or family?
10. Do you live in a crises or panic mode?
11. Do you get angry when told you should tithe to the Lord?
12. Do you have a recurring turmoil in your life, church, family or neighborhood?

If any of the above applies to you, (some of the above will apply to most people) seal Luke 4:18-19 in your heart and seek Christ for relief. 

There will also be action required on your part: you will have to make different choices, you will have to take your thoughts captive (you can no longer yield yourself to those first thoughts) and you must overcome double-mindedness – for example saying “I know my Lord will supply all my needs” while at the same time worrying over your finances.  That is doubled mindedness.

If needed, you are welcome to send me a web email detailing your difficulty.  I cannot solve your problem, but I may be able to help you solve it. 

I do not believe that the above issues are caused by demons, however, in some rare cased they could be. 

I do believe most of the above issues are caused by our beliefs and our choices.  Satan was defeated at the cross by Jesus and the only power he now has over true believers is the power we give him through our beliefs and choices.

2.  Strategic Advice for the Remnant

Someone gave me a copy of the following “I Am a Soldier”, I do not remember who, and the author is unknown.  However, This is great advice to follow as we prepare ourselves for entering the end times.

I Am A Soldier

I am a soldier in the army of God.  The Lord Jesus Christ is my commanding officer.  The Holy Bible is my code of conduct. Faith, prayer, and the word are my weapons of warfare.

I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity and tested by fire. I am a volunteer in this army, and I am enlisted for eternity. I will either retire in this army at the rapture or die in this army; I will not get out, sellout, we talked out, or pushed out.

I am faithful, reliable, capable and dependable. If my God needs me, I am there. If he needs me in the Sunday school, to teach the children, work with the youth, help adults or just sit and learn, I am there. I am a soldier. I am not a baby. I do not need to be pampered, petted, primed up, pumped up, picked up or pepped up.

I am a soldier.

No one has to call me, reminded me, write me, visit me, in Tice me, or lower me.

I am a soldier.

I am not a wimp. I am in place, saluting my King, obeying his orders, praising his name, and building his kingdom! No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food, cards, candy or give me handouts. I do not need to be cuddled, cradled, cared for, or catered to. I am committed.

I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to turn me aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit.

When Jesus called me into his army, I had nothing. If I end up with nothing, I will still come out ahead. I will win. My God has and will continue to supply all of my need. I am more than a conqueror. I will always triumph. I can do all things through Christ.

Devils cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me. Weather cannot worry me. Sickness cannot stop me. Battles cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me. Governments cannot silence me, and hell cannot handle me.

I am a soldier.

Even death cannot destroy me. For when my commander calls me from this battlefield, he will promote me to Captain and then allow me to ride with him. I am a soldier in the army, and I am marching claiming victory. I will not give up. I will not turn around.

I am a soldier.

I am marching heaven bound. Here I stand!

4. Thoughts for Meditation

LIVING BY FAITH - SOMETIMES HE SAYS NO

2 Samuel 7:1-16 NIV

David had good intentions.  God had given Jerusalem into his hands, and he had a beautiful palace made of cedar to live in.  But the ark of God was still in the same old tent (the Tabernacle) it had been in for years.  David felt guilty.  Here the Lord had brought him to this wonderful victory, given him the holy city of Jerusalem, had allowed him to have this beautiful palace, while the Lord’s dwelling place resided in a shabby old tent.  No one could fault David’s noble intentions when he said he wanted to build a temple for the Lord.  His heart was right, but his request was denied.

God didn’t reject David with His “no” to David’s request.  Far from it.  God had much greater plans for David, plans far beyond David’s vision.  But God’s plan and purpose for David was not to build the temple.  The job of building God’s temple would not rest in the hands of a warrior.  That job would be given to Solomon, the peacemaker.

You and I can have intentions that are just as noble as David’s.  We can want very badly to do something for the Lord, something that we, like David, have reasoned is His purpose for us.  All our logic agrees with us.  Our hearts are right.  We’re living for the Lord and doing everything we can for him.  We have this great idea, this wonderful thing we could do for the Lord.  So we ask Him.  And He says no. 

If this happens to you, don’t be disheartened.  Perhaps, like David, God has something much greater in mind for you than you can envision.  Remember, He sees with eternal eyes.  Only He holds the entire script.  You and I can only see one page at a time. 

Take this step in learning to live by faith, and rejoice in His sovereign wisdom and mercy.  Continue to seek His will.  At the right time, He’ll reveal it to you.  Then you will understand His “no”.

When Iran successfully launched its first domestically made satellite into orbit on Feb. 1, U.S. State Department official Robert Wood said Iran's activities could "possibly lead to the development of ballistic missiles" and were of "great concern."

French Foreign Ministry spokesman Eric Chevallier said France was "very concerned" about the launch.

UK Foreign Office Minister Bill Rammell said the launch underlined the UK's "serious concerns about Iran's intentions." Then they resumed their focus on their various economic implosions where "concerned" had been elevated to "alarmed."

What continues to astonish me is how little Western nations seem to grasp the tremendous danger that Iran is signaling in plain view. I have produced at least two television shows and as many articles in which I sought to warn of Iran's intention to use its rapidly developing nuclear warheads in an EMP attack against Israel, the EU and the U.S.

The fundamental purpose of Iran’s nuclear program is bone-chilling, and too readily ignored.

 “Oh Allah, give me the strength to hasten the return of the Promised One.”

That is an unusual request, particularly given the stage on which it was made. For the few ever given the opportunity to speak before world leaders at the UN General Assembly, the occasion is generally used to define and debate world problems, advance national foreign policy, garner support for humanitarian programs or request financial assistance.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is different. Given the opportunity, he has no compunction about standing before world leaders, bowing his head, and praying for the personal strength to usher in the return of the Promised One.
