1.       Satan’s Involvement with Humanity

The Bible does not specifically tell us why Satan rebelled, but it alludes to the fact that Satan’s pride caused him to want to be like God. Regardless for the reason for his fall, Satan hates us wants to destroy us.

Satan, it appears, was cast down to earth because of his pride and desire to be like God; one third of all the angles whom he had gotten to rebel with him were also cast down.  When this happened is a mystery.

During Adams initial reign, Satan has no authority on earth.  God gave the planet to Adam, and he controlled it until he disobeyed God.  Upon Adam’s disobedience, the rulership of the world moved into Satan’s hands.  From that time to the present man has had to contend with Satan.

Satan operates from earth, although he appears to have some access to heaven.  He is known as the ruler of the air, possibly because air and spirit are often associated.  Satan may work in direct relationship with the air itself, movin it to produce sounds that affect our subconscious like the subliminal messages we have learned to send to each other.

What does it mean to be insensitive?

How tragic to be insensitive to the miracles of God all around us.  How tragic to be insensitive to the needs of people all around us.

How can I develop spiritual sensitivity to God and His Word?

Spiritual sensitivity comes from eyes that are open to God’s Word.  We must develop the art of listening to God through His Word.

What will dull my spiritual sensitivity?

Sin dulls our spiritual sensitivities.  Time away from God dulls our spiritual sensitivities as well.

How can I be sensitive to others?

We are sensitive to others by having compassion for them and moving to meet their needs.

4. Thoughts for Meditation  - RECOGNIZING THE SIGNS – Luke 19:43-44 NIV

“If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace – but now it is hidden from your eyes.  The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you.”

When Jesus approached the city of Jerusalem for the final time, he looked at the city and wept, because he knew what was coming. 

What was Jesus talking about?  To paraphrase, he said, "If you had just paid attention to what my Father's Word said, you'd know who I am, and that I am the only One who can bring you peace.  But because you ignored His Word, He has now hidden the truth from your eyes.  By ignoring the prophecies (esp. Daniel 9:24-25), you didn't even recognize what TIME it is – time for God to come to you in human form.  Now your time is up, and so Jerusalem – and the temple – will be destroyed."  And in 70 A.D., this terrible prophecy began to be fulfilled when the Roman army under Titus destroyed the temple killed 600,000 Jews, and in 135 A.D. completed the destruction of the city and the dispersion of the people.

What does this have to do with you and me?  Everything!  God is still around.  His Word is still active.  His plan is moving along as always.  His Word is filled with prophecies that point us to the time of His Second Coming.  And yet so very few people recognize how close that time really is.  No one knows the specific day or hour – only the Father knows that.  But He gave us things to watch for, specific events both in nature and in the world.  And He also told us what will happen to those who ignore His Word.  Just as Jesus' prophecy about the destruction of Jerusalem came true, so, also, will these later and much more terrifying prophecies come true.

Do you recognize what's going on in the world as biblical prophecy being fulfilled?  Or will you, like the people of Jerusalem, be blinded to the truth unto destruction?  Think about it.

End times watch 112.  Despite R. Shlomo crisis, PM says Israel will continue to build in all parts of the capital.  

While the United States continued to criticize Israel over an east Jerusalem housing project approved during US Vice President Joe Biden's visit to Israel least week, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday said construction in the capital would continue as usual.

End Times Watch 113 - End times watch 113 - Police preparing for East Jerusalem riots over new synagogue - By Liel Kyzer – www.haaretz.com

Jerusalem police will deploy 2.500 policemen in east Jerusalem ahead of dedication of the Hurva synagogue in the Old City's Jewish Quarter on Monday. Police are wary of riots erupting following the dedication.

Referring to the planned synagogue dedication, Palestinian officials on Sunday called on Muslims to ascend the Al-Aqsa mosque in East Jerusalem Monday in order to protect it from alleged Israeli attempts to replace the mosque with a Jewish temple.

Israeli media carried Ambassador Michael Oren's remarks as officials said the Obama administration is pressuring the Jewish nation to scrap the east Jerusalem building project that has ignited turmoil.

U.S.-Israeli relations have hit a 35-year low over a contentious east Jerusalem building project that threatens to derail peacemaking efforts with the Palestinians, Israel's envoy to Washington was quoted as saying Monday.

Ambassador Michael Oren's remarks clashed with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's assurances that the political turmoil resulting from the settlement announcement, which the Obama administration slammed as "an insult," was under control.
