Hi and welcome to my “How I did it” page or About SBI,

 

I am assuming that since you are at this page you at least have a little curiosity about how you could build and make some money with a web site , or how I have done it.

 

I started this web site because I wanted to give back to people some of the help and encouragement I have received over the years. I want to share with you how I built this site and let you know how simple it is.  It is simple but it is still hard work. Anything in life that has real value is going to require work; this is not a get-rich-quick scheme. However, when you work at what you love, it doesn’t seem like real work.

 

This site has provided a way for me to talk about the things I love and the things that have meaning for me. It has provided a way for me to touch lives and to be touched by others. Readers have encouraged me and shared their heart with me. I am deeply honored to be able to share in the hurts and pain of many of the readers of the material on this site, and hopefully, to pay back the encouragement I have received in life from my wife and others.

 

The site has grown way beyond my expectations.  As I mentioned on the “About Me” page there are a huge number of visitors each month on this web site and I have a very large subscription base for The REMNANT E-zine. Also, tens of thousands of pages are read here each month and increasing all the time.

 

I didn’t start off with this web site or this success though, so I want to give you some of the same encouragement I have been given and let you know how I did it.

 

At first, I wanted a web site to sell the book I had written about my experiences in helping to transform communities and in working as a minister in a men’s prison that was transformed.

Each year I hoped the visitors would come to the site and I did all that I knew how to do to make that happen. I just didn’t have the tools or know-how to attract visitors to the site, and I didn’t understand or know how to use the tools provided.

 

The past has taught me to learn from my mistakes, and if what I have learned can help just one person I will be grateful, so I desire to pass on to you what I have learned.

 

I don’t know what the Lord has placed in you, but I do know that at one time you had hopes and dreams and now you likely have some needs that are predominate in your thoughts. I expect you visited this site on spiritual warfare because you were looking for some information to help meet some of your needs.

 

 I want to be able to give to you some of what I have received to maybe help restore your hope and dreams; or to encourage you.

 

You may have a need for some extra income – doesn’t everybody?  Why not do what your passion is? Why not sit down and ask yourself just what those old, forgotten dreams are - those things the Lord placed in you many years ago and you just set aside? – Why not do that?  Write them out. It will give you hope and it is GREAT FUN.  It will infuse life into you no matter where you are on life’s journey!

 

You may be looking for a job that would allow you to quit your present 8-5 job. Or you may just be looking for something that will put a spark in your life – who can’t use that?

 

Maybe you want to work for yourself, or work at home.

 

Or maybe, the difficult days we are living in today are telling you in your gut that it is time to make sure you can take care of yourself and your family.  We just don’t know what the days ahead hold in this troubled world.

 

I believe God has a ministry and work for all of us and when we truly seek Him with all our heart and ask Him to reveal His will for us I believe He does just that. It has been true in my own life and in a number of other people I know.
