Is the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti a sign that the world is changing?

Some experts would certainly tell us that.

The Haiti earthquake, which measured a monstrous 8 on the Richter scale, is responsible for over 200,000 deaths in the Haitian capital of Port Au Prince. Another 1.5 million people are said to be homeless.

Haiti, already one of the world’s most impoverished countries, now faces a humongous rebuilding effort; much like New Orleans did after Hurricane Katrina. The major difference however, is that New Orleans devastation doesn’t hold a candle to what happened in Haiti.

Port Au Prince is a city of 2,000,000 people. Ten percent of those people are now dead. Three-quarters of the population is living in tents (if they are lucky) because their homes have been destroyed. I don’t think anyone can comprehend the devastation that has taken place.

So while aid pours in to the island nation, others are predicting this is the beginning of the end. Some say this is the beginning of numerous natural disasters that will culminate in a new world order in 2012.

Supposedly these seers point to the magical date of December 21, 2012. On that date the Mayan calendar ends. As a civilized Indian nation, the Mayans, although long gone, were able to predict many world events, and supposedly, once their calendar stops turning pages, the world will undergo massive changes.

In combination with the Mayan calendar is the fact that the Milky Way is expected to come into alignment with the Earth, on that date. This happens once every 26,000 years, and each time the Earth goes through cataclysmic changes.

And then there is Planet X, the infamous 10th planet. Planet X, again on December 21, 2012, is to enter our solar system. It will look like two suns, and according to prognosticators will greatly disturb the alignment of the Earth to the sun and other planets, and possibly, creating environmental chaos for us.

Believe it or not? Of course I don’t. But I do find it extremely interesting that dozens of indicators show that 2012 is the year of our demise. Just in case, I’ve already got plans for an underground shelter, stocked for 180 days. After all, we can’t be too careful- at least that’s what my mother always told me! End times watch.
