The Spirit Anoints, equips the believer for learning. 

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.21I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.  1 John 2:20-21

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.   1 John 2:27

The Spirit Bears fruit. 

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.   Galatians 5:22-23

The Spirit Delivers through trials. 

For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,    Phil. 1:19

The Spirit Empowers for witnessing. 

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."   Acts 1:8

The Spirit Enables the believer to hold fast. 

Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.    2 Tim. 1:13

The Spirit Equips the believer with a special unction. 

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.   1 John 2:20

The Holy Spirit Equips the believer with power. 

Then He said to them, "Theseare the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me."45And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.

46Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, 47and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.48And you are witnesses of these things. 49Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high."    Luke 24:44-49

The Spirit Foretells one’s trials. 

And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there,  Acts 20:22

The Holy Spirit Gives gifts. 

There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.6And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 8for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,10to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.11But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.   1 Cor. 12:4-11

The Spirit Gives power for witnessing and to believers. 

 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."  Acts 1:8

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.3For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

5For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.10And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors--not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.13For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.15For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." 16The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer withHim, that we may also be glorified together.   Romans 8:1-17

The Spirit Gives special experiences with Jesus Christ. 

He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."22Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?"    John 14:21-22; John 14:21

The Holy Spirit Gives the believer inspiration when needed. 

"And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!6Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God.7But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

8"Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. 9But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.10And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but to him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven.11Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say.12For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say."   Luke 12:4-12

The Spirit Gives victory over the world. 

"But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. 27And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.   John 15:26-27

The Spirit Guides and leads by restraint. 

Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. 7After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them.    Acts 16:6-7

The Holy Spirit  Guides and leads the believer. 

I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.13However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.  John 16:12-13

11Therefore, sailing from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and the next day came to Neapolis,  Acts 16:6-11

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.    Galatians 5:18

The Spirit Indwells the believer. 

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.  Romans 8:9

No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 13By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.  1 John 4:12-13

The Holy Spirit Protects against false teaching.

He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.  1 John 2:20-23

The Spirit Speaks through the believer when needed.

 The Holy Spirit Stirs confidence and courage. 

So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.    2 Cor. 5:6-8
