Jesus Christ – Who is He

Jesus Christ – Who is He?

He is the originator of, and the center of, the Christian faith.

He is also called the Messiah, which is the savior prophesied by the prophets that would come.

But first and foremost, He is my Lord and my Savior and the Lord and Savior of everyone who confesses with their mouth and believes in their heart that He is their Lord.

Non-Jewish Christian people accept Christ as the Messiah, the savior promised by the prophets in the Old Testament; however, most Jewish people do not accept Him as the promised Messiah. Most Jewish people, especially the religious leaders during the time He lived, and most Jewish people today, still reject Him as the promised Messiah.

As a result of His rejection by the Jewish people, we (who are called gentiles or non-Jewish people) have been “grafted in” to the family of God if we receive Him as our Lord. Come, Follow Me: The Commandments of Christ

He was born in 2 BC and died on the cross in 30 AD at the age of 32 years old.

He was the name given Him by his earthly parents, after His earthly farther was visited by an angel and told to name him Jesus.

· That He is the Son of God,

· That He was born of the Virgin Mary, who conceived Him by the Holy Spirit.

· That He suffered under the ruler Pontius Pilate,

· That He was crucified on a cross, He died and was buried,

· That He descended into hell and on the third day, He rose again to life.

· That after spending 40 days being seen by many people and teaching His apostles and disciples here on earth, He ascended into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father,

· That He will judge the living and the dead, and

· That when the time is right, as determined by God the Father, He will return again to earth and set up His earthly kingdom.
