Hindrances Withstanding the Enemy: Overcoming Hindrances to Answered Prayer

PLEASE keep in mind that there are conditions that must be met for God to answer our petitions. John 15:7 says “If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you.” The conditions are that we must “abide in Christ” and “His Word must abide in us.”

The word “abide” in the Greek means to dwell, continue, stay and rest in or upon; it is being set and fixed and remaining there, continuing on in a fixed state, condition or being.

Also, James 4:3 says “You ask but you do not receive because you ask amiss, that it is for your pleasures.” When we pray, it must be God’s will that we ask for and God must receive the glory for it. What we ask for must not bring us glory.

Unforgiveness Breaking Free From Anger & Unforgiveness

In addition to the above hindrances to people’s petitions, UNFORGIVENESS is a major reason that what we ask for goes unanswered. If you or someone dear to you is ill, if you are in financial difficulty or if your marriage is in trouble, etc., you must pay close attention to the hindrances.
