Scriptures on Judgment Seat of C
Scriptures on Judgment Seat of Christ from the Word of
God.
Matthew
6:2-4 (NIV)
2 "So when you give to the needy, do
not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the
streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their
reward in full.
3 But when you give to the needy, do
not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
4 so that your giving may be in
secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Scriptures on Judgment Seat of Christ
Matthew 24:36-42 (NIV)
36 "No one knows about that day or
hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
37 As it was in the days of Noah, so
it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
38 For in the days before the flood,
people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day
Noah entered the ark;
39 and they knew nothing about what
would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be
at the coming of the Son of Man.
40 Two men will be in the field; one
will be taken and the other left.
41 Two women will be grinding with a
hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
42 "Therefore keep watch, because you
do not know on what day your Lord will come.
Scriptures on Judgment Seat of Christ
Matthew 25:14-30 (NIV)
14 "Again, it will be like a man
going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them.
15 To one he gave five talents of
money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his
ability. Then he went on his journey.
16 The man who had received the five
talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more.
17 So also, the one with the two
talents gained two more.
18 But the man who had received the
one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.
19 "After a long time the master of
those servants returned and settled accounts with them.
20 The man who had received the five
talents brought the other five. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with five
talents. See, I have gained five more.'
21 "His master replied, 'Well done,
good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put
you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
22 "The man with the two talents also
came. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained
two more.'
23 "His master replied, 'Well done,
good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put
you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
24 "Then the man who had received the
one talent came. 'Master,' he said, 'I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting
where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed.
25 So I was afraid and went out and
hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.'
26 "His master replied, 'You wicked,
lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where
I have not scattered seed?
27 Well then, you should have put my
money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received
it back with interest.
28 "'Take the talent from him and
give it to the one who has the ten talents.
29 For everyone who has will be given
more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has
will be taken from him.
30 And throw that worthless servant
outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
Scriptures on Judgment Seat of Christ
Luke 12:40 (NIV)
40 You also must be ready, because
the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."
Luke 19:11-27 (NIV)
11 While they were listening to this,
he went on to tell them a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and the people
thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once.
12 He said: "A man of noble birth
went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return.
13 So he called ten of his servants
and gave them ten minas. 'Put this money to work,' he said, 'until I come back.'
14 "But his subjects hated him and
sent a delegation after him to say, 'We don't want this man to be our king.'
15 "He was made king, however, and
returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in
order to find out what they had gained with it.
16 "The first one came and said,
'Sir, your mina has earned ten more.'
17 "'Well done, my good servant!' his
master replied. 'Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take
charge of ten cities.'
18 "The second came and said, 'Sir,
your mina has earned five more.'
19 "His master answered, 'You take
charge of five cities.'
20 "Then another servant came and
said, 'Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth.
21 I was afraid of you, because you
are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not
sow.'
22 "His master replied, 'I will judge
you by your own words, you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard
man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow?
23 Why then didn't you put my money
on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?'
24 "Then he said to those standing
by, 'Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.'
25 "'Sir,' they said, 'he already has
ten!'
26 "He replied, 'I tell you that to
everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even
what he has will be taken away.
27 But those enemies of mine who did
not want me to be king over them--bring them here and kill them in front of
me.'"
Scriptures on Judgment Seat of Christ
Romans 14:10-12 (NIV)
10 You, then, why do you judge your
brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before
God's judgment seat.
11 It is written: "'As surely as I
live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess
to God.'"
12 So then, each of us will give an
account of himself to God.
Scriptures on Judgment Seat of Christ
1 Corinthians 3:9-15 (NIV)
9 For we are God's fellow workers;
you are God's field, God's building.
10 By the grace God has given me, I
laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But
each one should be careful how he builds.
11 For no one can lay any foundation
other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 If any man builds on this
foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw,
13 his work will be shown for what it
is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and
the fire will test the quality of each man's work.
14 If what he has built survives, he
will receive his reward.
15 If it is burned up, he will suffer
loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.
Scriptures on Judgment Seat of Christ
2 Corinthians 5:10 (NIV)
10 For we must all appear before the
judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the
things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
Scriptures on Judgment Seat of Christ
1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 (NIV)
1 Now, brothers, about times and
dates we do not need to write to you,
2 for you know very well that the day
of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
3 While people are saying, "Peace and
safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant
woman, and they will not escape.
Scriptures on Judgment Seat of Christ
2 Timothy 4:8 (NIV)
8 Now there is in store for me the
crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on
that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
1 John 5:11-12 (NIV)
11 And this is the testimony: God has
given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He who has the Son has life; he
who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
Scriptures on Judgment Seat of Christ
Revelation 20:15 (NIV)
15 If anyone's name was not found
written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
