Sinners Prayer

 

The Sinners Prayer will save you from spending eternity in hell and being able to spend it in Heaven.

 

Romans 10:9 says “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

 

This means we have to speak out with our mouth and say just what we believe in our heart (Not our head!)

 

When we pray out loud or when we speak to another person we are speaking out with our mouth.

 

When we truly believe in our heart, that is, believing with our entire “inner being” and not just with our mind and in our head - that is, when we “know that we know” - when we believe this way we will be saved and we can spend eternity with Him in heaven.

 

The process is this:

 

1.       Confess our loud  (pray out loud to another) by acknowledging:

a.        that Jesus is the Son of God

b.       that Jesus came down from Heaven and became a man (a human being)

c.        that He was born from a virgin, Mary

d.       that He suffered and died on a cross to pay the PENTALITY for your sins (and all of humanities)

e.       He was buried

f.         On the third day He was RAISED from the dead by God.

g.        He ascended back up to heaven and He is seated there with God.

2.       Why did all this happen?

a.        So we could accept His grace of paying the penalty for our sins – sins that only a PERFECT being (Jesus Christ) could pay for by shedding His own perfect blood.

b.       The shedding of PERFECT blood was the ONLY sacrifice God could accept for the sins of man in this world.

3.       There is nothing we can do ourselves – we cannot save ourselves!

a.        Our blood is sinful and imperfect.

b.       We inherited this sinful nature and sinful blood from our ancestors Adam and Eve.

c.        We must ACCEPT God’s offer of GRACE which is the shed, perfect blood of Jesus Christ by His death on a cross, dying in OUR PLACE (because we deserve punishment for our sins) for OUR SINS.

d.       Without this genuine, from the HEART, acceptance of God’s grace we will burn in hell for eternity because we will continue as sinners and deserve the punishment.

 

The Solution:

 If you believe that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sins by dying in your place on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins, then speak this simple prayer, believing its truth in your heart and being sure to speak or confess it to another person.  

 

It is not the prayer or the words that will save you; it is you speaking or confessing the words and believing them in your heart or “inner being”. There are a lot of ways this prayer could be prayed; again it is not the words, it is the meaning to you and your belief in Jesus Christ.

 

The Sinners Prayer:

 

Dear Heavenly Father, I confess to You that I am a sinner. I confess to You that I believe the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins on a cross and that He was raised from the dead so that I could be saved. I know, and believe in my heart that this is true; I may not fully understand it all Father, but I know it is true. I receive and confess Jesus as my personal Savior. Thank You for saving me and giving me eternal life. Amen
