Spiritual battle is the theme of this web site. Like it or not, all Christians are involved in this spiritual warfare. Unfortunately, the vast majority of Christians are not even aware of the war raging around them.

You will find in the linked pages examples and experiences of the everyday spiritual warfare we are in.  A theme that runs throughout the practical experience is “at first, we experience some success and then there is a reverting back to the way things were or to a similar position.”

Satan Is Relentless

I attribute the lack of consistent success in the spiritual battle to the fact that Satan is relentless and we, as frail human beings, either give up, or our project comes to an end and we go on to something else. 

The above is an invaluable insight, learned from experience, for all those engaging in some activity designed to advance God’s Kingdom.

Total Surrender Of Our Will To The Lord

We are the empty vessels that allow Christ to manifest through us.  We must empty ourselves of ourselves and be possessed by the Holy Spirit to lead and guide our minds and bodies to fulfill the will of God.  If you don’t know how to submit in this manner, a section on the Tabernacle and intimacy with God will soon appear on this site; that will be a tremendous aid for you.

God gave each of us a portion of gifts.  Those gifts are to be yielded to the Holy Spirit for use.  Our tests will be in how well we submit our own will to the will of the Father.

Many people today just carry on through life, taking each day as it comes. They plan their daily activities and job functions unaware of any spiritual warfare. Usually when life gets tough or things just don't go right, it never occurs to them that a spiritual warfare may be involved.

No Demons Behind Every Tree

Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely do not see demons behind every tree! Moreover, I absolutely do not believe there are demons behind every tree.

However, we can’t bury our heads and say that the spiritual battle of living in this world does not exist. We are all engaged in the spiritual warfare of life.

Practical Rational Approach

I mentioned somewhere else that I am a practical, both feet on the ground kind of person.  I look for what works.  I am not in to emotional warfare of hooting, hollering, and swinging swords to engage in spiritual warfare.

I have seen people doing just like that above and then fall to the ground physically exhausted and saying, “We just had a breakthrough!”  YET NOTHING CHANGED AT ALL, SHORT TERM OR LONG-TERM.

Crazy!  These people had no idea what it took for success in the spiritual battle.  I must admit that at that time neither did I.
