Spiritual Warfare For End Times Preparation
Understanding God’s Kingdom Laws
Spiritual Warfare to Prepare Our
Spiritual Warfare to Prepare Ourselves for the End times
Spiritual warfare to prepare for the end times requires
that we know something about God’s Kingdom and how that Kingdom works. If we
have no idea of what the Kingdom of God is, how we are to live in it, or what
principles come from it, then we are just guessing at what our own preparation
should be.
This article will address the following questions:
- What is the Kingdom of God?
- What is the greatest sin in God’s Kingdom?
- What is the greatest virtue in God’s Kingdom?
In following articles in this series we will look at
Kingdom Laws or Principles such as:
- the law of use
- the law of reciprocity,
- the law of constant prayer,
- the law of miracles’
- the law of division,
- the law of greatness, and
- the law of forgiveness.
What is the Kingdom of God?
The Kingdom of God
A kingdom is a place where a king rules. The Kingdom of
God is wherever God reigns. The Kingdom of God is not visible because God
reigns in the lives of His subjects. It is a spiritual kingdom, not a visible
one. In Luke 17:21, Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is within you."
Jesus taught us to pray a petition to God in the Lord's
Prayer: “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven.” This
prayer shows the priority Jesus gave to the kingdom of God. We can say that the
kingdom of God will come on Earth when the will of God is as respected here as
it is in heaven, when the visible world totally reflects the invisible world. I
think we can say this will happen during the end of the end times; in the mean
time, there will be tremendous spiritual warfare.
In the kingdom of God, everything is subject to God's
power, instantly, with no question. In the visible world, here on Earth, there
is resistance to God's will and that resistance will continue through the end
times, and this is where we will face so much spiritual warfare.
The kingdom of God is eternal. At the present time, it is
an invisible kingdom here in our midst. Wherever there are true believers,
there the kingdom of God is because His kingdom is in us.
What is the greatest sin in the Kingdom of God?
Seven Deadly Sins: The Uncomfortable Truth
The greatest sin is pride and we can expect much spiritual
warfare to revolve around this issue. There are a number of reasons pride is the
greatest sin.
First, pride was the fundamental sin of Satan when he first
sinned. Pride says, "I can do it better than God." and for Satan it was saying
he wanted the job of running the universe.
Second, pride inevitably leads to the sin of rebellion. By
proudly carrying on our plan for our lives and those around us, we necessarily
come into conflict with God's plan. That is why God says, "God resists the
proud, but gives grace to the humble".
There is no way that we can be neutral in the kingdom of
God. Either we are for Jesus, or we are against him. The proud are automatically
against him, because their life is not yielded to him and to what he wants to
accomplish.
Finally, pride leads to a sense of self-sufficiency, making
us unwilling to learn or receive from God or man. Jesus said to be converted and
become as little children. Children are trusting and they are teachable. He
always wants to learn from the father.
Once a person becomes proud and becomes self-sufficient, he
or she cannot learn. The good things of the kingdom of God are given to those
who ask. If you do not ask, you do not receive.
It is only when you realize you are needy, that you can
truly experience God. If you feel that you have no need, if you are totally
self-sufficient, then you have closed God out of your life. By pride, we sin
against God and against ourselves. It is no wonder spiritual warfare is so
connected to pride.
What is the greatest VIRTUE in the Kingdom of God?
Humility: The Forgotten Virtue
If Pride is the greatest sin -and it is- then humility
must be the greatest virtue.
It is humility that allows us to acknowledge that God has a
claim on our life, that we are fallible, mortal creatures, and that God is the
master of the universe.
It is humility that says, "I am a sinner, and I need to be
saved."
Humility is the beginning of wisdom.
The truths is of the kingdom are only perceived by those
who are humble. No one who is proud will ever gain anything from God, because
"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble".
Those who are humble receive the grace of God and are given
the secrets of the kingdom. Spiritual Warfare will usually be involved because
Satan and his demons must try to keep us prideful and keep us away from
humbleness; this is how he keeps us captive, oppressed, weak and unprepared as
we begin to enter into the end times. In fact, this is how he has always done
it.
