Spiritual Warfare Accomplished by Christ – on the Cross:

 

John 12:31-33 (NIV)
³¹ Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out.
³² But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself."
³³ He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.

Colossians 2:15 (NIV)
¹⁵ And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Hebrews 3:14 (NIV)
¹⁴ We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first.

 

 

Accomplished by Christ – in His Ascension:

 

Ephesians 1:20-21 (NIV)
²⁰ which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,
²¹ far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

Philippians 2:9-11 (NIV)

¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
¹¹ and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

 

 

Spiritual Warfare Accomplished by Christ – in His Return:

 

1 Corinthians 15:24-28 (NIV)
²⁴ Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.
²⁵ For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
²⁶ The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
²⁷ For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ.
²⁸ When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

Revelation 19:11-16 (NIV)
¹¹ I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war.
¹² His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.
¹³ He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.
¹⁴ The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.
¹⁵ Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.

⁵⁶ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

Our Victory Given Through Christ Spiritual Warfare – Victory  Over Sin Through the Spirit:

⁹ You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
¹⁰ But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.
¹¹ And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
¹² Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation--but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it.
¹³ For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live,

Galatians 5:16-19 (NIV)
