LESSON Month 01-Day 07
This spiritual
warfare
discipleship program is uniquely designed to make disciples for Christ
using the Word and a simple process of multiplication while increasing your
circle of friends and having fun.
Keep in mind that we
are entering in to the last days and there is a desperate need for prepared
kingdom workers who understand the times in which we live!
Weekly memory Scripture:
Matthew 28:18-20.
Today’s Scripture: Matthew, Chapter 6. Please Underline verses that will
help you make 12
spiritual warfare disciples for Jesus.
Identify in a way you can come back to for review what
scripture from today’s reading that will help me make 12 end times
disciples for Jesus. You may want to highlight the scripture in your
bible or you may want to write it out – however you can best come back for
reminder and review.
LESSON
Disciple:
Today’s scripture reading is another blockbuster, isn’t it?
Servant:
Yes, it explodes our usual way of acting.
D: Jesus says that when
I give, pray and fast, keep it just between God and myself. (verses 1-18)
S: Yes, because when we
keep it secret we’ll be rewarded by God and not by man.
D: In verses 9-13, Jesus
teaches us how to pray by using the Lord’s Prayer as a model.
S: Then in verses 14-15,
Jesus teaches us to forgive others if we want God to forgive
us.
D: Jesus even tells us
in verses 19-21 to make deposits in our account in Heaven instead of just
our local bank.
S: Jesus then says
something our spirit knows is true, “Your heart will always be
where your treasure is.” (verse 21)
D: Jesus concludes with
verse 33, “But more than anything else, put God’s work first and
do what He wants. Then all the other things (food, housing, clothes,
transportation et al) will be yours as well”
S: God’s work for us is
to make 12
spiritual warfare disciples who do likewise. Our
rewards will come to us from Jesus Himself.
D: I want to begin
getting my 12 people as soon as possible. What’s the first step?
S: Pray. It
worked for Jesus and will work for you, too.
D: Good idea. Should
the 12 be
new
or old
Christians?
S: Primarily new
but your 12 may include some of your Christian friends.
D: How can I approach
my Christian friends?
S: It’s easy. Always
get permission first by asking, “May I ask you a question?”
Most people will say, “Sure”.
D: That opens the
door. What’s next?
S: Simply say,
“How many disciples have you made for Jesus?”
D: That’s easy. It’s
what you asked me on Day 1.
S: Yes and, like you,
most people will answer, “None”.
D: What should I say
then?
S: Explain that Jesus
tells us in the Great Commission to “ make disciples”
for Him.
D: That’s our memory
scripture for this week. What do I do next?
S: Just show them a copy
of Month 1, Days 1 & 2 from the training guide. They say it
all.
D: If
people express an interest, may I invite them to our weekly gathering?
S: Yes, that will let
them experience first hand how spiritual warfare discipleship
can help them make 12 disciples for Jesus who
do likewise.
D: Thanks for this
easy approach. I’ll do it this week.
S: You’ll be pleased
with the results.
