The Holy of Holies - Hearing From God today is possible

Thank you for mentioning that we are to listen for God to speak. I could tell you many stories about how God has spoken to me by His Spirit. One time I was fasting for three days for someone that was ill and I thought I might as well ask God who I will marry at this time. I tried to blank out my mind of my thoughts, I was very still and quiet, and trying to hear God's voice. It was like a thought, that quiet of a voice, and I heard the name, Allie. Then I actually thought, I guess the Lord said, Sally (because at that time, I had heard of several Sally's, but I did not know anyone named Allie). Well, about one year and six months later I met Allie. On our 2nd date, she heard the Holy Spirit tell her that I was going to be her husband and we did get married. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING....This is very important for emotional healing.
The now word from God is called the Rhema word and we can receive emotional and spiritually healing by listening to God. I have and you can too. For instance: So often, especially in a tragic situation, a demon will put a lie in our thoughts, something like, "See, God doesn't love you, if He did, that would not have happened." That's a lie.
Many will believe that and try to ignore the tragic event that happened and will try not to think about it. Are they really helped by doing that? Not really. They have really just swept it under the rug, deep in their spirit, and believing the lie is the worst part. Later, a little problem may happen and the person is triggered by that and has that big lie to relate to and then they feel like they have a terrible situation, they feel unloved and lost again. Here's something that can help many times. When you catch yourself getting upset, try to stop then and ask God what is the root problem? When is the first time you felt upset like this. Then be still and try to listen to the soft voice of the Holy Spirit. You can ask, God, how do You see the situation. Allow His word of truth to take the place of the lie.
