Words From Jesus: On Prayer
Jesus had much to say about prayer. In the practical, everyday spiritual
warfare we all experience we are wise to know the Jesus’ words. His words give
us unshakable confidence that Satan and his demons can have no part of us when
we stay anchored to Him.
And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.
Matthew 21:22
Where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew
18:20
It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer'; but you make it a
den of thieves.
Matthew 21:13
My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass for Me; nevertheless, not as I
will, but as thou wilt.
Matthew 26:39
Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit indeed is
willing, but the flesh is weak.
Matthew 26:41

shouldst keep them from the evil one.
John 17:15
Beware of practicing you piety before men in order to be seen by them; for then
you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 6:1
Pray that it may not happen in winter. For in those days there will be such
tribulation as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created
until now, and never will be.
Mark 13:18-19
I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, to be with you
forever, even Spirit the truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it
neither sees him nor knows him; you know him, for He dwells with you, and will
be in you.
John 14:16-17

will reward you.

But watch at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these
things that will take place, and to stand before the on of man.
Luke 21:36
The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the
harvest to send out workers into His harvest.
Luke 10:2
Pray then like this: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy
kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day
our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors,
and do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Matthew 6:9-13
And in praying do not heap up empty phrases, as the Gentiles do; for they think
that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your
Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
