Words From Jesus On Commands
New Page 1Words From Jesus: On Commands Jesus had much to say on Commands. In the practical, everyday spiritual warfare we all experience we are wise to know the Jesus’ words. His words give us unshakable confidence that Satan and his demons can have no part of us when we stay anchored to Him. Be Merciful, even as your Father is merciful. Luke 6:36 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 5:7 All those who take the sword will perish by the sword. Matthew 26:52 The poor you always have with you, but you do not always have Me. John 12:8 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. Luke 14:11 For to him who has shall more be given, and from him who has not, even what he thinks that he was will be taken away. Luke 8:18 The lights is with you for a little longer. Walk while you have the light, lest the darkness overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. John 12:35 The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light; and if your eye is not sound, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is darkness! Matthew 6:22-23 Blessed are the Words from Jesus! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. The second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:37-40 You are like light for the whole world. A city built on top of a hill can not be hidden, and no one would light a lamp and put it under a clay pot. A lamp is placed on a lamp stand, where it can give light to everyone in the house. Make your light shine, so that others will see the good that you do and will praise your father in heaven. Matthew 14-16 If your right eye causes you to sin, poke it out and through it away. It is better to lose one part of your body, than for your whole body to end up in hell. Mathew 5:29 And if your Lord and Teacher has washed your feet, you should do the same for each other. I have set the example and you should do for each other exactly what I have done for you. John 13:14-15 Blessed are the Words from Jesus! If you are not on my side, you are against me. If you don’t gather in the harvest with me, you scatter it. Matthew 12:30 He told them, "A man who divorces his wife and marries someone else is unfaithful to his wife. A woman who divorces her husband and marries again is also unfaithful. Mark 10:11-12 You have been taught that a man who divorces his wife must write out divorce papers for her. But I tell you not to divorce your wife unless she has committed some terrible sexual sin. If you divorce her you will cause her to be unfaithful, just as any man who marries her is guilty of taking another man’s wife. Matthew 5:31-32 Anyone who hears and obeys these teachings of mine is like a wise person who build a house on solid rock. Rain poured down, rivers flooded, and winds beat against that house. But it did not fall, because it was built on solid rock. Anyone who hears my teachings and doesn’t obey them is like a foolish person who builds a house on sand. The rain poured down, the river flooded and the winds blew against the house. Finally, it fell with a crash. Matthew 7:24-27 Why do you keep saying that I am your Lord, when you refuse to do what I say? Anyone who comes and listens to Me and obeys Me is like someone who dug down deep and built a house on solid rock. When the flood came and the river rushed against the house, it was built so well that it didn’t even shake. But anyone who hears what I say and doesn’t obey Me is like someone whose house wasn’t built on solid rock. As soon as the river rushed against that house, it was smashed to pieces. Luke 6:46-49 Blessed are the Words from Jesus! You know that our ancestors were told, "Don’t use the Lord’s name to make a promise unless you are planning to keep it." But I tell you not to swear by anything when you make a promise! Heaven is God’s throne, so don’t swear by heaven. The Earth is God’s footstool, so don’t swear by the Earth. Jerusalem is the city of the great King, so don’t swear by it. Matthew 5:33-35 God blesses that people who make peace. They will be called his children. Matthew 5:9 But you must always act like your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:48 Render therefore to Caesar that things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s. Matthew 22:21 Jesus answered, "Don’t you know that in the beginning the Creator made a man and a woman? That’s why a man leaves his father and mother and get married. He becomes like one person with his wife. Then they are no longer two people, but one. And no one should separate a couple that God has joined together." Matthew 19:4-6 These are the Words from Jesus on Commands.
